About The Illustrious
George W. Roper, 33°
Emanuel Consistory No. 1 (1881)/DeMolay Consistory No. 1 (the name reverted to DeMolay Consistory No. 1 in 1891)
Valley of Philadelphia
Orient of Pennsylvania
5th
Illustrious Roper helped to spread Scottish Rite freemasonry in Orient of Pennsylvania and throughout the Northeast. He spent quite a bit of time travelling the jurisdiction to stamp out the “fires” started by the competing bogus factions of John G. Jones and Milton F. Fields. He made Most Puissant Sovereign Grand Commander Thornton A. Jackson 33° of the United Supreme Council, Southern Jurisdiction an honorary member of our Council. Illustrious Roper was the third Most Puissant Sovereign Grand Commander to hold membership in DeMolay Consistory No. 1.
