Illustrious Brogdon is the second Sovereign Grand Commander to belong to Bezaleel Consistory No. 15.  He created a framework for joint visitation between Prince Hall Scottish Rite Masons and our mainstream counterparts.  He established an Insurance Committee that saved the United Supreme Council a significant sum of operating capital.  He also smoothly tamped down an insurrection of Grand Masters in relation to the extension of powers and courtesies believed to be due them in the Supreme Council.  The Scottish Rite Tower was completed and dedicated on his watch.  The Class of 2004 is named in his honor.
